I was listening to the radio on my way home from work when a local station featured a life coach. Each week the coach demonstrated how coaching was helping people to build and develop and he offered simple steps that gave listeners the opportunity to make changes in their lives and this listener, me, was sufficiently impressed to find out more, so I arranged a coaching session with him. The rest is, as they say, history.
I was coached into coaching
We all face choices and decisions along the path of life and from each step we learn more about ourselves and thus prepare for the future. On my path I have always tried to honour my values.
Like everyone I have collected and refined my values beginning with those inherited from my parents which gave me a strong foundation on which life and experience have built and shaped them.
When I look at some of my key values which include; integrity, honesty, a strong sense of fair play and a need to always give my best, I realise that my Father had similar values and I am grateful for that, because they have made me who I am today.
